Three generations of fire protection
Davis-Ulmer celebrates 70 years of pride in design, installation and fabrication of sprinkler, suppression and alarm systems
APi 2016 Spring Newsletter

Fire Prevention Week 2015 – Smoke alarms that are properly installed and maintained play a vital role in reducing fire deaths and injuries.
If there is a fire in your home, smoke spreads fast and you need smoke alarms to give you time to get out. Having a working smoke alarm cuts the chances of dying in a reported fire in half. Almost two-thirds of home fire deaths resulted from fires in homes with no smoke alarms or no working smoke alarms.

Davis Ulmer Lends a helping hand to UB’s GRoW Buffalo Team
September 23rd, 2015 – This year students at the University of Buffalo are taking part in the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon, in Irvine California. This contest challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive. The GRoW Buffalo team relies on the generous donations from industry and community partners to make this project a success. Davis Ulmer was happy to lend their sprinkler services and expertise to UB’s team in the creation of their very own GroW home.

We are extremely proud in the Liverpool branch to announce Brian Ferrante’s 2nd place finish in the National Apprentice Competition.

August 19th, 2015 – Brian has worked hard over the years to master his craft and completed his apprentice lessons 2 years earlier than required. Last week Brian competed with 6 other sprinkler apprentices and 29 other trade apprentices in Minnesota, in a variety of pipe fitting challenges, some of thewhich Brian has not been exposed to in his daily work. Brian finished in second place by a slim margin. The top three sprinkler apprentices are employed by APi companies.
Congrats Brian!
