APi Group Acquires Davis-Ulmer Sprinkler Co.

In 2005, Davis-Ulmer took a significant step forward by joining the APi Group Inc., connecting the company to a nationwide network of fire protection and specialty construction companies. This move came after Davis-Ulmer had broadened its offerings in 1996 by adding leading fire suppression and alarm brands and launching its Special Hazard Alarm and Detection division. Today, former Davis-Ulmer President Steve Ulmer serves as Senior Vice-President of Safety Service of APi Group Inc.

Founded in 2006 in Stamford Connecticut, focusing on providing security systems and services to commercial office tenants, owners, and property managers. Since becoming dealers for the Brivo brand of cloud-hosted access control systems in 2018, IPS has grown to be the leading Brivo dealer in its territory. In 2000, Edward Ondayko launched QRFP Special Services, expanding into commercial fire sprinkler installation along with fire alarm installation, monitoring, service, and inspections.
